The head of the SJZU International Exchange & Cooperation Department, Wang Xing, visited Purdue University in the United States and two teachers of our university, Wu Nana and Yu Shui, who are visiting scholars there. Wang Xing extended the cordial greetings of school leaders to these two teachers, visited the laboratories and offices where they worked, and asked them in detail about their work and living conditions in the United States.
During the visit, Wang Xing met with Professor Tim Phili, the director of Environment Center of Purdue University, who has been to SJZU twice and greatly helped with the cooperation between SJZU and Purdue University. He said that he would continue to support teachers and graduate students of SJZU to work and study at Purdue University in the future.
Wang Xing also met with Professor Emmett Verma, the director of the Structural Engineering Experimental Center of Purdue University. The professor expressed his welcome to teachers from SJZU who major in civil engineering to conduct research and experiment in the center. When Wang Xing met with Professor Mark Hastark, the director of the school's engineering management center, the professor expressed his willingness to accept the relevant professional teachers of SJZU to come to the center for exchange and study through the funding of the National Scholarship Council.
The visit of the SJZU delegate to Purdue University in the United States is a return visit following the visit of a professor from Purdue University to our university last month. Through this visit, we have established contacts with the heads of several national key laboratories of Purdue University, and have established a good channel for the dispatch of visiting scholars to the U.S. in the future.
