In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the university and to further enhance collaboration between Shenyang Jianzhu University and Maharishi International University, Zhu Yunxiang, vice president of Maharishi International University, and his delegation visited our university on September 21st. The meeting took place in Room 513 of the Administration Building, where Dong Yukuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shenyang Jianzhu University, warmly received the visitors. The meeting was also attended by Xia Baishu, a member of the university's Party Committee and Vice President of the university.
During the meeting, Dong Yukuan extended a warm welcome to Zhu Yunxiang and his delegation. He provided a brief overview of the university's educational environment, discipline development, and research achievements, expressing hope for further strengthening of educational exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as sustainable development and energy conservation. Zhu Yunxiang gave a brief introduction to the history of Maharishi International University, its academic offerings, and its collaborations with various universities in China. He also conveyed his congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the university. Xia Baishu held in-depth discussions with the delegation regarding academic collaboration in the field of architecture. Both sides engaged in detailed discussions about doctoral program development, expressing hope that students will soon have the opportunity to study in the U.S. and successfully complete their degrees.
Maharishi International University was founded in 1971 and spans approximately 272 acres. It is known for its beautiful, tree-filled campus, which serves as a model for environmental protection and has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Science Organization as the fourth-best environmental science school in the country. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the U.S. Department of Education, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the American Council on Education, and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The joint Ph.D. program in Management, which our university co-hosts with Maharishi International University, integrates cutting-edge global management concepts, employing teaching methods tailored for domestic students with a systematic and scientific curriculum. This program uses extensive management experience and case studies as research subjects, broadening perspectives in multiple dimensions, stimulating deep managerial thinking, and effectively cultivating leadership and strategic decision-making skills in students across business and industry sectors.
