On June 16th, Shenyang Jianzhu University held 2024 graduation ceremony for Sino-American Information Management Master’s Program at the Student Activity Center. The ceremony was attended by Xia Baishu, Vice President and member of the Party Committee of Shenyang Jianzhu University; Julie Dockery, Vice President of Benedictine University; Alyse Mommer, Director of the International Office; and U.S. faculty representatives Carlos Ferran and Craig Nathanson.
Prior to the ceremony, Xia Baishu met with Julie Dockery and her delegation, reflecting on nearly 20 years of collaboration between the two universities. He expressed hope that both institutions will continue to support one another and leverage their strengths to foster mutual development. Julie Dockery remarked on Shenyang Jianzhu University’s impressive growth over the years and expressed her desire to further strengthen cooperation between the two universities. The two sides also had in-depth discussions about expanding areas of collaboration.
During the ceremony, Julie Dockery and Xia Baishu jointly officiated the tassel-turning and degree-conferring for the graduates.
Julie Dockery extended her congratulations to all the graduates, encouraging them to utilize the unique strengths of the Sino-American joint education program. She urged them to become ambassadors of technological transformation and cultural exchange between China and the U.S., contributing to a better future.
Xia Baishu congratulated the graduates of 2024 Sino-American Information Management Master’s Program on their successful completion of studies. He encouraged them to be bold, innovative, and contribute actively to the development of the nation. He also expressed hope that, wherever their careers take them, they will continue to care for and support the growth of their alma mater.
Du Qiao, Deputy General Manager of Shenyang Highway Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. Alumni representatives, including Bao Jinmin, Director of the Cultural and Tourism Bureau of Dengta City, Liaoyang, and President of both the Sino-American Information Management Alumni Association and Benedictine University Sino-American Alumni Association, also addressed the audience.
More than 300 participants attended the ceremony, including relevant directors from the university’s International School and International Exchange and Cooperation Office, as well as representatives from the International Education College of Shenyang University of Technology, graduates of 2024 Sino-American Information Management Master’s Program, and alumni.
