Sept. 11, 2014, Alan Gorr, has served as the founding dean of Benedictine University’s Global College, invited by President Shi tiemao of SJZU, gave a lecture titled 'Philosophy and Business Ethics' here in SJZU. Students find Alan's lecture interesting, and the classroom fulfilled with active interacting.

 

Gorr began his career in teacher education at Augustana College, Rock Island where he rose to Associate Professor and Chair of Professional Studies. He holds the BA in philosophy and PhD in Social Foundations of Education from the University of Iowa, an MA in medieval studies from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Health degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. Is the editor of three volumes in education and health professions education and has published articles in public health and education and philosophy.
